Custom Deck Decompression Chamber superyachts
Fitting a six-person decompression chamber into a superyacht without creating a new opening in the vessel’s structure presented a unique engineering challenge during the rebuild of Draak, Oceanco’s 92.9-metre superyacht.
Hytech-Pommec developed a custom Deck Decompression Chamber (DDC) to fit through the yacht’s existing dive centre access route, while meeting the technical and aesthetic requirements of the superyacht environment.
The chamber’s profile and pipework were redesigned to accommodate the available space. A yacht-quality finish and integrated entertainment system completed the solution, bringing together technical performance and onboard comfort.
The result was a successful installation without the need for a new opening in the yacht’s structure. The project also marked the first decompression chamber integrated into the Oceanco fleet.
