Its eight vectored thrusters enable precise omnidirectional movement. The ROV can move forwards, backwards and sideways. It can also dive, ascend, pitch, roll and turn.
Consequently, operators can navigate efficiently around vessel hulls, offshore structures, tanks and other difficult-to-access underwater areas.
The CHASING M2 features a 4K UHD camera, electronic image stabilisation and a wide-angle lens. Therefore, it captures clear videos and high-resolution photographs for inspection reports, condition assessments and operational records.
Furthermore, integrated lighting improves visibility in dark or low-light environments. Meanwhile, depth-lock and stable-hovering functions help operators maintain a consistent viewing position.
The ROV has a maximum operating depth of 100 metres. Additionally, it reaches speeds of 1.5 m/s, equivalent to approximately three knots.
Its operating time can reach four hours, depending on operating conditions. As a result, the CHASING M2 supports many professional underwater applications.
Moreover, its compact 4.5 kg construction allows rapid deployment and operation by one person.
The modular mounting system supports several optional accessories. These include a robotic grabber arm, external lighting, laser scaler and auxiliary action camera.
Thus, operators can configure the system for inspection, measurement, observation and light-intervention tasks.
Typical applications include:
- Vessel hull, propeller and rudder inspections
- Offshore and subsea structure inspections
- Harbour, quay wall and dock inspections
- Tank, reservoir and confined-water inspections
- Aquaculture monitoring
- Marine research and environmental surveys
- Underwater photography and video recording
- Search, recovery and emergency-response operations
Finally, the CHASING M2 enables remote visual inspections from the surface. Therefore, it can reduce the need for personnel to enter the water during preliminary assessments.
In addition, operators receive immediate visual information for safer planning, efficient maintenance and informed operational decisions.
